FAQ

What are your opening hours?

We are open 10am – 5pm, Tuesday to Thursdays.

How do I log in?

When booking into our workshops and events, remember to log in, via the Members Sign In tab (top right hand corner) to ensure you receive the member discount. Please ensure you log in first to receive your discount as we have a no refund policy. Login with your email address and password. If you’ve forgotten your password click ‘Lost Your Password?’ to reset it. If your membership has expired less than twelve months ago, you will still need to login to renew your membership. However, if you haven’t renewed your membership in more than a year then you will need to sign up as a new member, here. If you are yet to sign up as a member, what are you waiting for?

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. We are a very busy small staff and ask that members make appointments to see us rather than drop in. New members are entitled to one free consultation. Other members receive discounted professional consultations. You can request a short free telephone or email consult if it is a small matter. Please be aware that with so many members, these services fill very quickly so there may well be a waiting period.

Can you help me find a publisher?

No. We do not refer writers to publishers as that is the work of a literary agent. However, we can offer advice and support for people seeking publication through consultations, our regular free ‘member monthlies’, and our workshop program.

Will you read my work and give me feedback?

SA Writers Centre staff generally do not read or give feedback on members’ work. However, we do offer First Feedback for up to 1500 words and a separate manuscript assessment service.
