Latest book: a MOSAIC of memory chips... pieces of south australian rural life in the 20th century
MOSAIC is a rural/social history record; the pieces all having the theme of 'finished business'. It was compiled from 28 Oral History interviews. Long-term residents of the Minlaton area reminisced about specific changes during their lifetimes; with particular reference to agriculture, commercial ventures, local government, education, health and recreation. In 2011, SA's 175th anniversary, 'MOSAIC' offers an insight into a forgone rural way of life. It is representative of the strong social interaction and level of community involvement that prevailed across regional SA last Century. It also records local casualties of the ubiquitous 'rural decline' that subsequently occurred.
