Our Authors
The SA Writers' Centre lists over 110 authors, the majority
of whom are available for a range of activities, including school
visits, assessments, readings, mentoring, speaking engagements or
workshops. A broad array of genres are represented, ranging from
children's picture books to poetry, travel writing to literary fiction.
'Three years ago, I started getting unsolicited emails offering me work. Since I steadfastly fail to
market myself (owing more to my dogged disorganisation than any modesty) I was rather
surprised by this. After thousands of dollars of billable hours, I finally asked someone where
they found me. So sadly, a testimony to the scope of the SAWC website must also be one to my
ineffable crapness – but it's one I'm very happy to give.'
Travel writer for The Age, Sydney Morning Herald,
Sunday Times (UK) Editor, Adelaide Hills Magazine
Listed authors are members of the Centre and usually based in South Australia. One or two are based interstate and have a continuing relationship with the Centre. If you're a published author or joint author of a book (anthologies and journals excluded) and a current member and would like to have your profile listed, please

Having an author page on our website has a number of benefits and the Centre encourages published non-members to join as it raises your profile locally and interstate, can often generate employment opportunities, and through social networking pages and hyperlinks can raise your Google ranking.
